This project started as a study in light and shadows. But as I continued, the initial subject matter of light and shadows became more of a dramatic backdrop to the people I encountered in various forms of waiting. The late afternoon sunlight streaming through downtown San Francisco created a sense of drama as I wondered about the experiences of these people waiting to go home.
